The Eve of The Trip.

Well, it's midnight on the eve of my departure.  I have exactly one and a half bags packed and still need to unpack, edit, and try again.  Because, c'mon, Kellene, nobody needs that many shoes.

So what do I do instead?  I create a blog.

I'm not sure if anyone will read this, and if you are, thanks.  I'll try not to suck.  If you don't know what's about to happen in my life, I'm embarking on a short, hopefully life-altering adventure.  I'll be spending the next 6-odd weeks in Europe as an au pair, world traveler, adventurer, what-have-you.  On the itinerary?  Vienna, Austria; Lucerne, Switzerland; Frankfurt, Germany; and most excitingly, Chernobyl, Ukraine.

I decided to attempt to chronicle my time abroad: see what I've learned, post some interesting pictures, inform the world of what culturally awkward mess I've mired myself in, etc. 

So, come, join me, let's explore something new.
